Rustic Southern Italian kitchen with strong influence from Tuscany. All professional staff with over 30 years experience."It is most certainly a gourmet establishment with a menu from top to bottom that is exquisitely creative with tastes and flavors and choices that make selections so joyously difficult--and with a wine list to match food and pocketbook. Consider this the now best Italian restaurant in the state. Three cheers for Biagio the chef.""Concealed jewel, but easily accessible off the parkway. Esteemed staff that goes about taking care of your every need, especially the maitre d'. Exceptional menu with meals that make you crave for more. The homemade pasta dishes are unequaled to any place in the state. This is an elite restaurant that I will entertain my family and my business clients at. Head chef will go above and beyond his means for satisfaction of customer."

ONLINE ORDERING AVAILABLE - ilpalioct.comIl Palio was named after the race held each summer in Siena, Italy. Created with a passion, the restaurant has been exquisitely designed and beautifully finished with materials from all over the world. No stone was left unturned and time was not a factor in finding exactly what was required to make the "vision" a reality. The atmosphere created is one of quiet comfort in surroundings reminiscent of an Italian villa. The friendly and courteous staff, the outstanding food, and the efficient service all contribute to the ambiance felt by those who visit the restaurant. Il Palio's fine Tuscan cuisine is a pleasing combination of the highest-quality ingredients and the caring preparation by chefs who take pride in the dishes they present. Like the race in Siena, Il Palio is creating lasting impressions.

We ordered the mussels and asked for the garlic toasts on a side plate AND they didn't do this, they placed the garlic toasts right on top of the mussels. I have to be gluten free and we just don't understand why people do not read the instructions. Our waitress stated that she did put in this request.

The igloo experience is soo worth it! You get the entire igloo to yourself and the heaters inside make it nice and cozy. The waitress (madison) was super friendly and attentive. Drinks and food were both flowing at a steady pace. Would recommend to anyone looking for a fun outdoor experience in the cold weather!

The ambient soundtrack, not heavy metal or rap but I caught Jon Bon Jovi in ther, tells you something about this restaurant’s schizophrenic identity. The menu is almost excessively wide-ranging, from wings to lobster, in an sattempt to appeal to all comers, yet the prices invite a somewhat higher-incomed clientele. The interior is hardscaped, with no sound-absorbing fabric in sight(except the napkins) amidst the poured flooring, floor-to-ceiling windows and granite tabletops. The service was accomodating but slow at obvious transition points in the progression of the meal. Our order: appetizer of calamari was plentiful, oddly(for me) sprinkled with gorgonzola and drizzled with balsamic but delicious; an ahi tuna salad ( beautifully presented) and a clam and bacon flatbread that seemed a bit overdone/crispy. Two proseccos, a glass of pinot grigio and a bill of $120…. I want to try this location on a summer evening when there’s outdoor dining and enough light to enjoy the harborviews. Otherwise, it is not a top choice in several categories
