- RRexWashington, D.C. Area •5 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoSuperb, as usual. The carrot sformato was an unusual find and quite delicious. The addition of olives to the blood orange and fennel salad hit just the right acid note, Mama’s meatballs were pure beef with a strong dash of anise seed, and the accompanying marinara had been simmering for ages to pick up that deep complexity of flavors and great balance between sweet and slightly acid.More infoThe Pink DoorPrice: Very Expensive• Italian• Belltown / Pike Place Market•4.8

We also appreciated the lovely personal touches, including a complimentary birthday treat (presented on a bouquet) and a personalized birthday card signed by the staff. - JJimSeattle / Eastern Washington •7 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 14, 2024This was our second time back in the last few months, the first time not long after the passing of Wayne Johnson, chef at Andaluca and Fare Start. Oola happily reminded us of the inspired offerings that Wayne created. Fresh, seasonal, locally sourced food with contemporary pan-pacific flavor and textures, beautifully presented and plated. Likewise, the wine offerings were appropriate and very satisfying. We were also lucky to sample a flight of Oola whiskey along with a description by the distiller of each offering; and a bonus description of their vodka and gin. The black label whiskey in particular was excellent! We had a memorable and thoroughly enjoyable evening.More infoOOLA Capitol HillPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Capitol Hill / First Hill•4.9
