- MmarkOxford/Oxfordshire •3 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoOur first time at the Greyhound. We both had the tasting menu which was absolutely lovely. The service is excellent, and we were looked after superbly. It was much more than a meal and more like ‘an experience’. My partner and I were amazed when we left, that we had been there for almost 4 hours. Finally, you know you’re in a place that thinks of everything when they 1. Have a presentation box with different strength reading glasses for those of us that always forget our glasses. 2. At the end of the meal, you are given a bag with 2 gift boxes with breakfast for the next day. Superb all round and we will definitely be back.More infoThe Greyhound Pub & DiningPrice: Expensive• British• Beaconsfield•4.9

- SStephenBuckinghamshire •5 reviews4.0Dined on Dec 24, 2024Surprised to find we were the only diners when we arrived on Christmas Eve for lunch, and only one other table occupied in the time we were there. The service was exemplary although there was no reason for it not to be with so few diners. Did wonder if senior kitchen staff had been given a day off as one hot starter was virtually cold and my parsnips were so undercooked I couldn’t even cut them with a knife and fork, although they were replaced some time later. It was a shame as the setting is lovely and it should have been a better experience.More infoMonkey Island Brasserie & BarPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary British• Bray•4.6
