- MMitchellSan Diego •8 reviews5.0Dined todayThird time and by far the most consistently excellent dining experience we’ve had in San Diego. The sourdough was lovely, especially the butter that came with… the biscuit also had great texture and a lovely sage butter. The baba ganoush plate was great though a little bread heavy and not quite enough BG. Pork belly outstanding on all accounts. The large steak for two was cooked perfectly, though the potato skin on the stuffed potato was a bit oily (probably just needs higher temperature on the oil or a change of oil). We are dessert people (hey Claire Saffitz) so we had the apple pie ice cream, orange creamsicle sorbet, and the “Ferrero Rocher.” All outstanding. Still our favorite celebration spot in SD.More infoJuniper & IvyPrice: Expensive• Unspecified• Little Italy•4.6

- HHayeteSan Francisco Bay Area •12 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoI have been to Queenstown a few times, both at the little Italy and UTC location and the little Italy restaurant has always been the best experience. High quality meat and fresh produce, the food and drinks exceed expectations. Loved the gingerbread house decor during the holidays as well but the decor is nice year-round.More infoQueenstown Public HousePrice: Moderate• Organic• Little Italy•4.4
- SStephenVIPSan Diego •7 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoThe great news: service was excellent, food spot on. We had bread (must have), beets, and a charcuterie plate to start, which was plenty for four of us. All was excellent, but the charcuterie was the standout: perfectly balanced, beautifully presented, and even came with notes so you knew what you were eating. For dinner, we had filet mignon, wagyu skirts, and a ribeye. All were superb and cooked exactly to specification. Desserts and drinks were also very good. The less fabulous: We asked for a quiet corner since it is a busy and crowded spot, and while we were in a corner of the private room in the back, so was a loud party of 6 or 8. We asked if they could do something, but nothing was done. Parking: Even at 5:30 on a Sunday, it was not easy to find a spot close by.. If there'd been valet, we'd have definitely used it. All in all, we'd do it again for a special occasion. The manager did listen to our noise issue, and acknowledged it impacted our experience tonight, so I don't expect it to happen againMore infoCowboy StarPrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Downtown•4.9
- CChadSan Diego •9 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 21, 2024From the moment we were greeted by the hostess til time she was telling us to have a good night on our way out, our entire experience was truly on point! The food was spot on, we had roasted mushrooms and cauliflower for an appetizer, the duck and prime rib for our entree… all of it was as good as we’ve ever had it. The service was attentive, fast, friendly, and it seemed like we didn’t have to ask for much, he was just prepared and had enough foresight to ensure we were taken care of. Overall, an excellent experience! I cannot offer a criticism which is rare. We will definitely return.More infoThe Smoking Goat RestaurantPrice: Moderate• French American• North Park•4.8
