She made our experience wonderful and we come every year to the Walnut Room since my children were little and they are now 20 and 17. Our waitress took one of the best pictures of our family at the tree, came to our table often refilling our drinks and asking if we needed anything more. She was just so happy and joyful it really added to our experience at the table. She even brought us Walnut Room glasses at the end. We always have a good time at the Walnut Room but our experience this time was exceptional! I thanked her at the end as well, but please treat this waitress well and keep her because she is a shining star for sure!!More infoThe Walnut Room - ChicagoPrice: Expensive• American• Downtown / Loop•4.6

Excellent waiter, with great recommendations and service. We ordered too much, so couldn't come close to finishing it all. Breaded pickles with siracha aioli were outstanding, wedge salad very good (tho dressing was sparse), Gage burger was good, chicken biriyani was very flavorful but too much. Next time we'll split just one entree.More infoThe GagePrice: Moderate• American• Downtown / Loop•4.7
- HHamishWashington, D.C. Area •48 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoWe chose the restaurant as it was accessible from our hotel on a really cold night and reviews seemed good. The space was nicely decorated and comfortable with a lively atmosphere. The waiter was efficient and cordial. Our drinks were excellent and we found the food to be so as well. We shared an order of the cheese curds with rémoulade to start; it was a generous portion indeed and delectable. I had an excellent prime rib done perfectly medium rare with a beautiful and tasty crust with mashed potatoes, jus and horseradish, which I was unable to finish. My companion had the rotisserie chicken which he declared to be nicely seasoned and moist. Again, it was a generous portion of half chicken, baby potatoes and baby carrots. We had no space left for dessert, but enjoyed the meal thoroughly.More infoRoanokePrice: Moderate• American• Downtown / Loop•4.3
