Best Lunch Restaurants in Tiddington-with-Albury

The Thatch is consistently the best place to eat in Thame. Not a cheap option but the quality is excellent and the staff are just brilliant. You get what you pay for and a full restaurant, mid-week, shows that others must agree.

Friendly service, food amazing, value for money the only criticism I have is they should now have the heating on now.

Beautiful setting - afternoon tea in front if an open fire. Staff were extremely courteous and attentive. The free chocolates for the birthday guest was a lovely touch! And there was unlimited tea. The standard scones were deliscious and the clotted cream to die for. Disappointing the jam was in jars not a dish, there was no butter and the birthday girl's gluten free scone was more like a biscuit than a scone - too thin and shattered when split. The cakes were OK but nothing special - carrot cake and chocolate brownies pretty basic, and for £85 for three I was expecting something a bit more special - maybe at least one cream cake. The gf sandwiches were too dry to eat. Overall a lovely afternoon sipping tea in front of the fire, but turned out to be not the best birthday treat for someone who's gluten free.

We’ve been dining for 3 nights at the Holt hotel and every time it was delicious and the service 10 out 10, a bit expensive but everything is I guess these days. Highly recommend the restaurant and the hotel! 🥰

We had a Sunday buffet lunch at the Holt as a second wedding anniversary celebration. The staff were lovely, those around 2 years ago remembering us which was lovely. It was probably the best buffet I have had. The range of veg was excellent. Thank you Holt.
