Paul Friedman is a Master Chef with over 40 years of experience in the restaurant industry,having owned and operated over 50 successful restaurant concepts in South Africa, Germany, and the U.S. Paul began his career as a manager and worked his way up to franchise owner, then Director of Operations.He opened Paul's Pizza Shops - a nationally recognized pizza concept in Northwest Houston, Texas in 1994. Dining at the Derby was quite the experience. The ambiance was great and of course the view was just absolutely beautiful. If you’re considering love cars this is undeniably the next restaurant and bar to add to your list. The food was great as well. I went around the breakfast/lunch time and ordered a steak salad which filled me completely up that I had leftovers. I also had an espresso martini and truffle fries while my boyfriend had the wagyu burger. We both left satisfied and full and still had some leftovers to take home and finish up later. The dining environment was very demure and peaceful. Our server Elijah was great and attentive to providing great service. Tours of the vehicles are available and though my boyfriend and I didn’t have time to take one we were still able to view the cars from the glass window upon entering in and there is also a over head view from the dining area that you can look out and see all the cars while eating. All in all it was a wonderful experience and a 10/10 recommend from me.
