Carlos@b&v brings the finer side of dining and service to this unique little part of North London, on the Green in Winchmore Hill, a stone's throw from the mainline station of the same name and a short drive from Southgate on the end of the Piccadiily Line. Carlos himself is a restauranteur with flair, having built a reputation in the area over 30 years and so his experience with executing a dynamic and slick establishment brings much to be excited about. Guests will get that familiar 'welcome back' feeling even if they happen to be newcomers. The interiors are comfortably chic but inviting, with a warm ambience and the atmosphere is busy and vibrant. Live music and niche little magic entertainers are a regular occurrence. With an open alfresco feel in the summer, looking out on to the Green itself and a pavement terrace in warmer months too. Amazing roast dinner with attentive and professional staff. Reasonably priced for the amount of food on the plate. Real homely roast dinner. The gravy is to die for and the veg selection was perfect. We had the chicken and lamb roasts and both were perfectly cooked

We had a lovely stay here, the rooms are beautifully decorated and beds far to comfy The food was amazing, the staff lovely and very welcoming would definitely recommend and come again The hotel certainly is 5 star!!

Always exceptional dining. The Sunday roast is unmatched to that of any others we have sought in search of the perfect roast. So much so that we recently visited the Heston Blumenthal’s establishment [The Hinds Head] in Bray for a Sunday roast, and whilst the lunch was faultless, we and accompanying friends believe it didn’t match that of the Gables.
