Chef Luciano Canova was born in 1949, on a small farm just outside of Rome, Italy. Chef Luciano grew up with his parents & grandparents where good food, using the freshest of ingredients, was always a staple. His passion for food was instilled in him as a small child in his home and led him to attend the prestigious Culinary Institute of Italy. After graduating, Luciano worked all around the world perfecting his craft in places like Switzerland, Germany, and on a luxury cruise line.  The Torre Restaurant Group family of restaurants has grown to serve customers throughout Southern New England with authentic Italian food. We have eight locations, all offering different ways to explore the many tastes of Italy! Our newest location here in Mansfield, is the first location that merges all our dining concepts into one. Since we’d had such a positive experience with dinner at Union Straw, we were delighted to find they serve Sunday brunch. We had Breakfast Cordon Bleu and Chicken & Waffles, both of which were very good, and the ham was exceptionally succulent. The home fries—often lackadaisical at restaurants—were even a bit special. Nicely diced and seasoned. Our server, Jeanette, was outstanding and made sure we were well taken care of. Even though the room was full, she took time to make sure we had everything we wanted, and never felt rushed.

The bread was excellent - hot and fresh. The oil and vinegar and Italian spices were fantastic. I had spaghetti and meatballs and would definitely have again. Excellent IMO! :-)
