Best Lunch Restaurants in Buckfastleigh

This was my wife an I’s third visit, and it has already become our favourite place to dine. We’ve always opted for the taster menu, twice at lunchtime. The value for Michelin star quality is outstanding. The wine flight is a reasonably priced addition and it superbly matched. The front of house team are discreet and professional whilst managing to create a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere, which makes return visits a certainty.

The food was great. The terrine starter was very, very good. We had pork shoulder from the grill and the lunchtime special which was a kind of pork casserole. Both really tasty. The side of garlicky cabbage was awesome. The wine selection was rather limited (2 reds, 2 whites, an orange and a fizz) and we liked the Pinot best.

Had the Sunday roast. Very generous, great selection of veg. Lovely meal. Always a welcoming pub.

Food was nice and restaurant has a lovely view. Staff were pleasant but need some more training.

Nice old fashioned experience. Great views across Torbay. Food very good and plentiful. Friendly service and a good atmosphere.
