Saffron serves an eclectic mixture of traditional Indian Cuisine punctuated by the flavors of the Himalayas. Our food stand true to its roots and origin while we source most of our produce locally. All dishes, sauces, naans and desserts are made in house from scratch. We are proud to be the first restaurant in Austin with a dedicated Nepalese menu. Nepal is a land of many flavors, while many of its dishes are indigenous and indicative of its culture and people, while few are inspired by its immediate neighbors, India and China. This is the second time my husband and I have had dinner here and we loved it. The food was great quality and flavorful. We cannot get over how much we love the zucchini chips and black truffle aïoli. Our server was attentive and kind, we never had to ask for a drink refill or try to flag anyone down because he was doing a great job! We are so excited to come back for another date night.

Our visit to Saffron on Saturday night was very satisfying! The service is excellent and the food is really special. We love the scallops for an appetizer. They sauce they use with them is amazing. We both got fish dishes off the Indian selections and they were excellent. We have gone often in the past and are happy to start putting this wonderful, quiet gem back on our regular schedule.
