Best Kid Friendly Restaurants in South Nashville

Great atmosphere, impeccable service. The food wasn’t the best steakhouse I’ve ever been too- but wasn’t bad. The shrimp cocktail was fresh, the cocktails were good- might have been better for a spot like this to have a mixologist on staff. The bread was amazing- however the truffle butter was over powering. Ordered a burger, bun was cheap- need to step up the bun and cheese game. The fries weren’t fresh cut, no onion rings on the menu- this is a steak house! In my party we ordered 2 different steaks and two sides. Corn bread wasn’t done all the way though, was soggy and underdone in center, creamed spinach was served in a small square bowl slopped on the side. Minor presentation things to work on. The salads we ordered weren’t show stoppers bacon bits from the freezer not lardons tossed in an abundance of dressing- instead of served on the side. Ordered the Freddie and the wedge. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great- but this spot didn’t earn my seal of approval to return or send people their way.

My grands loved the Grinch tea time. If I had to say anything bad maybe a truer GRINCH.

Always plan a dinner when we are in Nashville at the Hand Cut. Starting with the smoked old fashioned every time . Great drink. Food is always good no matter what we have ordered. Also like that they have live music and it’s not so loud you can’t even talk to one another.

The food was delicious. Lobster roll was market value, $36 that day for a hot dog sized roll with a side of chips. It was very good though. The Southampton Pizza was very flavorful, as was the New England clam chowder. Best chowder next to what we’ve had in Boston. It’s a little loud in the restaurant. But not obnoxious. The majority of the Christmas decorations (if you’re coming to see those because you saw it on social media) are on the rooftop level. The rest of the restaurant is regular ambiance. Very friendly service. I would go back.

Bakersfield is always a great choice for us. The servers are prompt. The food is hot when it comes out. Mario was wonderful last night and very attentive. I did not get the hosts’ name, but we were running a few minutes late and he said he would hold the table for me. I ask for a specific table each time we go and they are always so accommodating. We truly love this place.
