The New Yorker opened in 1930 at the height of the Great Depression as the then largest hotel in the city. Beneath the hotel, a bank vault and offices were occupied by the Manufacturers Trust Company until 1980.     We arrived 10 minutes early for our Thanksgiving reservation yet, were given a table immediately despite the crowd. The server, "Daniel" was excellent as was the service. Food came out quickly and correctly. Nice portion sizes at reasonable prices ( for midtown Manhattan). We highly recommend this restaurant!

    I recently had the pleasure of dining at Carmine's on 44th with a large party, and I must say, the service was exceptional from start to finish! The hostess made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, and the attentive service continued throughout the evening. I spoke with the manager, who went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, ensuring we had everything we needed for a great experience. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect for our gathering. I highly recommend Carmine's on 44th for its fantastic food and outstanding service!
