Best Kid Friendly Restaurants in Foggy Bottom

Chef Geoff is always a great dining establishment when we are staying in DC at the Hilton Embassy Suites. The food is excellent, plentiful, and varied with several specials every day. The atmosphere is very laid back and you are always made to feel like a family member However the best is the great staff who go the extra mile to make sure everything is perfect during you stay Amount the best of the best is Arturo who is probably the best server we have ever had any where we have ever dined out at, A great friendly hard working staff member who made our special night the best. Thanks for your all you do Arturo!

Great food. However the service could have been better. 30 minutes to get our drink had to ask where it was. Waiter forgot to put in our appetizer, tables all around we’re having the same issues— maybe they were short staffed

My wife and I had the pleasure of meeting Chef Lee, who was incredibly kind and took the time to personally greet everyone. The staff were just as welcoming, demonstrating excellent communication and attentiveness. The atmosphere struck a perfect balance between modern elegance and cozy warmth. The course meal exceeded all expectations—each dish was thoughtfully designed with exceptional taste, creativity, and a seamless flow of service. The alcohol pairing was also expertly curated, enhancing the overall experience. What stood out most was Chef Lee’s dedication to sustainability in his restaurant. I recommend visiting the website prior to your visit to understand his intent with the non-profit org. His vision is truly inspiring, and I deeply respect his ambition. We had 8 in our group and all of us loved our dinner! The restaurant was beautiful. The food was amazing - and huge portions! Will definitely be back!

Wonderful bar with great history in a Washington landmark. I highly recommend the clam chowder.
