The thoughtful wait staff members were attentive but not hovering. We both enjoyed the soups and salads and even lingered over cups of cappuccino. The week prior, I enjoyed a similar experience with another out of town friend. Well done!More infoOld Ebbitt GrillPrice: Moderate• American• Downtown•4.8

- CChristinaWashington, D.C. Area •3 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoMy husband and I decided to celebrate Thanksgiving at The Smith, and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. The prix fixe menu was fantastic, and our server, Jaiho, made the night truly memorable with her enthusiasm and friendliness. We started with the kale salad and butternut squash soup. The kale salad was delicious, and I would happily eat it any day. The butternut squash soup had great flavors, though it was a bit thinner than we expected. For our main courses, we opted for the turkey pot pie and short ribs. The pre fixe menu included sides for the table, which were all super tasty but very filling! We couldn't resist the apple toffee bread pudding and pumpkin cheesecake for dessert. They were both so tempting that we had to have at least one bite before asking for a box to bring them home. Overall, the Thanksgiving pre fixe meal was generous and tasty. The Smith's atmosphere and Jaiho's excellent service made our holiday celebration truly special. We'll definitely return, whether for another holiday or a casual meal!More infoThe Smith – Penn Quarter, Washington, D.CPrice: Expensive• American• Penn Quarter•4.5

- BBernardWashington, D.C. Area •3 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoAn awesome experience! Highly recommend and will be back. Made a reservation for lunch for a party of 6. We were seated within 5 minutes of arrival. We were seated in a back corner and it was very hot when we sat down. The management adjusted the temperature when we informed them. Three of us got the Chef’s Tasting Menu and I added the Wine Pairing for an extra $45. The others ordered off the lunch menu. We enjoyed everything and plenty of food with the Tasting Menu. Highly recommend!More infoZaytinya - DCPrice: Expensive• Mediterranean• Penn Quarter•4.7
