Best Restaurants with a Happy Hour in San Ysidro

I have already visited this restaurant four times. I bought my mother, a date, my grandparents, my father.. you name it. Absolutely in love with this place. From food, service to the atmosphere. I’m a whiskey lover; this place has the best pour. I am currently aiming to have my birthday (Feb) there. My last experience included the manager (Hailey) reaching out and being so polite. She even included a few desserts to share.

Atmosphere is pleasant in the back room or away from the bar area. Our server was friendly and attentive, but not in an overwhelming manner. Our food was delectable. My daughter had the tuna filet, which she highly recommends. Of course, one can’t wrong with the PorkChop steak. The lobster bisque was wonderful, had a nice spice to it, as did the salads my daughter and friend ate.

Our experience was great from start to finish. The employees were pleasant, helpful, and courteous. The food was fantastic! We look forward to dining here again.

Everything was great. Good service and good ambience. Only problem was the Au Gratin potatoes. Yuch. Manager replaced them with a different potato (mashed) which was great. All in all, so much better than last year when we were forced to wait 30 to 45 minutes in spite of reservation. Of course we will return

We love Piatti.. both locations but this evening we chose Eilian. We were able to be seated in the comfortable sofa/upholstered chair section which was very nice. Our server was really pleasant and attentive throughout the meal and allowed us to move at our pace through a moment with some hot tea followed by their butternut squash soup and a mista salad. We enjoyed their amazing bread and oil/basalmic mix (only ate 1/2 to make sure we could bring the rest home). We settled on the roasted salmon for her, getting asparagus instead of the normal side and I had the flatiron steak and truffled potatoes. Everything from the appetizers to the meal was prepared perfectly and served at just the right time. Great meal, great ambiance (we were around 5:30pm on a Friday night so the crowd wasn’t there yet).
