Best Restaurants with a Happy Hour in Hillsdale

Amazing food! Loved the Yellowtail Jalapeño Sashini. Miso Cod- delicious. Still craving it! Wagyu - so good. I got two ounces - wish I had ordered 3!! The spicy tuna roll- shocking good for a seemingly simple dish. Gracious service. Will definitely go back.

We visited BJ's on Valentine's evening 2025 for dinner. Over the last few years we loved the food at BJ's and everything always tasted really great. This time, we noticed that the food was good and not the same as previous times that we visited. It looked like it was thrown onto our plate and the flavors of the steak and chicken were ok but nothing to write home about. In addition the restaurant was very cold even though there was a full house. Many people in the restaurant ate their dinner with coats on.

Good service; good food; great time. We enjoyed ourselves. The octopus was very good as was the crudo. We shared these as starters. My wife had a special - uni with squid-ink noodles and I had the seared dayboat scallop risotto. Both were quite good - the noodles were a little too much for my wife to finish (but she made sure to get all of the uni). My risotto dish came with 5 scallops which were cooked very nicely and presented on top of the risotto - there could have been a few more chanterelle mushrooms though. We split the Pecan Pie Tart for dessert. We finished with a couple of cappuccinos which were nice and hot with plenty of foam and great espresso. We brought our own wine and enjoyed it with the meal.

Black Angus Blossom Hill has been a family favorite for more years than I care to admit. The manager, Jennifer is outstanding and will pitch right in waiting on tables when things get busy. Blake is a very outgoing server whom we request every time we go, which is often.

My new favorite spot in San Jose! The service is consistently excellent! Each dish is so flavorful and hand made! I had the lobster bisque and shrimp and crab Cobb salad. The bisque was perfectly flavored and not salty…the Cobb was a generous portion and excellent dressing. My server was so professional which made lunch even tastier! I will be coming back soon!
