The restaurant is on the 13th floor which makes for a great view of the city on one side and harbor on the other. The sunset was beautiful. Service was attentive and knowledgeable. It is a rather small menu and they were out of one item but there was still plenty to choose from. We started with the shrimp cocktail which was delicious and Parker rolls, which were rather tiny. For entrees we did the duck dish and lobster gnocchi with sides of spinach and carrots. The spinach exceeded expectations and the carrots were cooked to perfection. The dirty rice served with the duck was surprisingly complex, in a good way. We ordered the tableside bananas foster which made for a great show and it tasted just as delicious. Highly recommend this new restaurant!More infoSky RoomPrice: Expensive• Unspecified• Long Beach•4.7
- RRubenLos Angeles •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoTook my son there last night for his birthday and I must say the three people working last night as the host were awesome. The manager too! We were a large party of 15 and at first we were going to be separate tables, but at the end, we’re all able to sit at tables across from each other. Our shelf was great and the chef that our kids had was amazing. We had Andre as our chef. He was great ! The three hosts and the front I know there was a young girl and two gentlemen. I only got one of the guys names and his name was Andres. I really felt like they were trying to help us and I truly appreciate that! The girl was very sweet and she was happy to see my family and I were able to all sit together. The staff coming out to sing to my son was in all honesty the best. My son had a great time! The manager on duty was direct and up front about wait times and what not and even tho people may take that as being rude, i completely feel the opposite. I appreciate her willingness to accommodate my requests !! Seriously! I must’ve bothered her like 5x but she was always willing to listen and help. Thank you host and manager working 1/3/24 @ 6:30 pmMore infoBenihana - Torrance, CAPrice: Moderate• Japanese• Torrance / Carson•4.2
- AAaronLos Angeles •1 review5.0Dined 4 days agoWe had a fabulous experience as a group of 4 adults and 4 kids. We made our reservation via OpenTable the night before and had no difficulties securing a table for our larger group. I got a text saying that our table was ready and was able to easily communicate ahead of time. We arrived at the resort and were promptly offered a shuttle ride down to the restaurant (as I was on crutches). The shuttle driver even ran inside to snag 2 stuffed whales to give to my young kids. Very thoughtful. We arrived at the restaurant and had wonderful service from Tabitha—-everything from soft blankets to portable heaters. And then the sun came out blazing halfway through our meal and I overheard her offering a nearby table her own personal sunscreen because she overheard them talking about how they were unprepared for the sun and were concerned about exposure. I thought that extra touch was so thoughtful. I don’t even need to waste my space on talking about the view. It’s unbeatable. You won’t find a better view in any other restaurant ever. Period. You can even hear the waves crashing. If you sit on the west patio you will be treated to 180 degree water views that include the Point Vicente lighthouse as well. Food standouts: the hot lobster roll was perfect! Chips and guacamole excellent (and I don’t even usually like guacamole). Shrimp Cobb salad. Burger. Poke bowl. And the kids were all thrilled about their chicken tenders. Enough that they even asked to eat their leftovers the next day—which they usually aren’t willing to do. After lunch our group took a lovely stroll down the ocean path. Because I was on crutches I planted myself on a bench at the top while the rest of my group continued on and everyone was treated to outstanding—we were even lucky enough to see seals frolicking nearby. Because our validation got us $10 parking for the day, we could have explored for as long as we wanted. The path goes all the way to the lighthouse!More infoNelson's at Terranea ResortPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Rancho Palos Verdes / Rolling Hills Estates•4.5
