We wanted to create a place where a night out with the kids didn’t mean food adults had to suffer through or a night out with the parents didn’t mean a stuffy place where kids had to wear a scratchy clip-on tie. Shinsei is just that: a neighborhood gathering place with date night appeal. But not so unexpected that you won’t be able to decipher the menu or recognize your favorite dish.     10/10 service from the moment we walked in. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Our waitress Katie was amazing, attentive and knowledgeable. I loved the steak frites. The meat was cooked perfectly and paired with a delicious creamy sauce. The drinks were strong and well made. Everything was so good. Definitely recommend!

    This mine and my fiancé’s second time at Sister. Both times we’ve had Jordan as our waitress and she has been phenomenal on each occasion. The sommelier was knowledgeable and helped guide us to a Pinot noir that was perfect - and he later talked us into being adventurous with an Italian wine I never would have tried otherwise but ended up loving. The food is always amazing and well seasoned. The pasta continues to be our favorite - we ordered 2 different ones each visit and they never disappoint. We’ll 100% be back.

    We eat here once a week because we think they have the best sushi in Dallas. We especially enjoy their riceless roles because we lean toward low carb but our kids love the beef flat noodles. Can’t say enough good things about his place.
