At the Nag’s Head we are passionate about food and the excellent quality produce that is available locally. The majority of our food is freshly prepared and cooked from ‘farm to fork’ by our Head Chef Andy Millard and his enthusiastic kitchen team. Our menu is varied and seasonal, appealing to all tastes and includes Chef Specials, favourite traditional “pub classics” and Sunday roasts. We cater for different palettes and today’s changing tastes including children, vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options. As our dishes are prepared and cooked in house, we can usually accommodate most dietary needs.We pride ourselves on serving locally produced real ales. Our ales come from the excellent local microbreweries and are of a very high quality. We offer a range of good quality wines and spirits to compliment our menu.

Our Italian restaurant is named after our grandparents, Nonno and Nonna Mannucci.Growing up, we spent countless hours in the kitchen with them, creating and savouring authentic Italian dishes.Today, we’re thrilled to share these family recipes with our guests, using only the freshest and highest quality locally sourced ingredients, with a few key exceptions – we simply can’t compromise on the real Italian taste!We have 2 eating areas - "the patio" .. out front and encapsulated in glass, disabled friendly with roughly 35 seats, heated, and rain proof. the upstairs restaurant "Terrazo" is a beautiful themed italian couryard with a signature blossom tree overhanging and rustic features - not disabled friendly as it is up a flight of stairs. The Daffodil is a Michelin-awarded food-led country pub, with high quality Shepherd's Hut accommodation (bookable directly via The Daffodil website and via Air B&B) in the pretty rural village of Penrhiwllan. Located 4 miles from Newcastle Emlyn, midway between Cardigan, Carmarthen & Aberystwyth, it's an ideal location for a few days rest or a relaxing meal in scenic surroundings. Food at The Daffodil is freshly prepared using the best quality local produce wherever possible.     We went for a Sunday lunch today and the food was outstanding. My daughter is gluten intolerant and was so pleased she could order the same roast and it also had a GF Yorkshire pudding. The staff were all friendly and very attentive . We can honestly say the BEST roast dinner

    We dined with you on a Friday evening. We had delicious food. I had the bruschetta to start and then the chicken as a main. It was nice to have some vegetables as a side. I chose the greens. We had the coco roso mocktail and it was sweet and delicious. The portion sizes are generous, and I couldn’t eat all of my main so I had it packed up to take home. We sat downstairs under the glass and it was lovely. My only negative feedback was that it got slightly cold toward the end of our meal as the patio heater had turned itself off. Our waitress was friendly and efficient, and you could see the kitchen staff having a good laugh whilst working which is always nice to see. Many thanks for a lovely evening.
