Server Josh P excellent, timed everything out well. We are ready to do it all over again!More infoCafé Ba-Ba-ReebaPrice: Moderate• Tapas / Small Plates• Lincoln Park•4.8
- DDianaVIPChicago / Illinois •89 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoAs fans of Rose Mary we were eager to try El Carciofi and willing to take a 4:45 reservation. This is as fun and as delicious as Rose Mary and shares the same approach to dining—shareable small plates. Interesting craft cocktails, sufficient wines by the glass, exceptionally well trained wait staff and very flavorful food. Gus menu was all Rome inspired so it was a little less diverse than Rose Mary. The artichokes were spectacular crisply Rome style. Every inch was edible. Two to an order but they bring you a serrated knife if you want to have them. We had one other appetizer (calamari), one pasta and one seafood main. The portions are great for two to share but if three or four order another something or two and expect to get just a couple bites not full servings. They have $8 servings of gelato and sorbet and a couple amazing deserts they offered to checkout coats.a nice touch in Chicago’s winter. It’s easy to spend $100 per person if you gave two drinks each and desert. We found street parking but forgot to feed the meter since the sign wasn’t obvious so double checkMore infoil CarciofoPrice: Expensive• Italian• West Loop•4.8
- HHarriettChicago / Illinois •6 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe have high tea at the Palm Court every year between Christmas and New Year’s. It is our way of setting aside a special treat time for our family once the Christmas buying rush is over and The Palm Court does not disappoint. The choice of teas is broad and the scones warm. Each edible was well presented, fresh and tasty. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Loved the harpist and singers in old world garb. And don’t miss the 50% off Christmas baubles in the downstairs gift shop. Our only quibbles were with the closeness of the tables and noise level. The room was packed, a tribute to its popularity. Best high tea in Chicago.More infoThe Palm CourtPrice: Very Expensive• Afternoon Tea• Gold Coast / Streeterville•4.6
- KKarenVIPDenver / Colorado •22 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoI’ve been to Summer House a number of times and have always had very good experiences, however I was recently diagnosed with Celiac, so I wanted to leave a review saying how impressed I was. According to the menu, most items can be made gluten free. I went with another person who was gluten free and the dinner was outstanding. Our server was great (as usual) and was very knowledgeable. It was very busy but didn’t feel crowded. The miso salmon was delicious and the Brussels sprouts salad is a favorite of mine. So unique and tasty. Normally I don’t get dessert but decided to try the gluten free chocolate chip cookie because their cookies are so good. This one did not disappoint! Soft, satisfying and hit the spot! I was curious about the “mini” espresso martini and thought, why not? It was the perfect after dinner drink! Overall, another great experience at the Summer House. I’ll be back!More infoSummer House - ChicagoPrice: Moderate• American• Lincoln Park•4.6
- LLaneChicago / Illinois •15 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 19, 2024Our night was so enjoyable, and it started with our server. He was personable, helpful and good humored. The cocktails are creative, I had the Japantown and loved it. Very original, very refreshing. We shared the garlic fried rice, brussels sprouts, fire chicken and steak kalbi. Every bit of it was delicious. Truly, could not have been happier with the experience.More infoMott StreetPrice: Expensive• Central Asian• Bucktown / Wicker Park•4.7
