- BBarbaraWashington, D.C. Area •11 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoFour of us met to celebrate a retirement at Ada's and the evening couldn't have been more perfect. We were greeted warmly, and the hostess accommodated our request for a comfortable table where the noise level wouldn't be overwhelming for my 90 YO mother. We were seated at a booth with a gorgeous view of the river, where the noise level was lively but not too much. Our server was friendly and professional, just the right amount of attentive. I had taken a fall on the ice leaving my home, and he kindly had a bag of ice sealed in a take-home bag for me to keep on my injured knee. So off to a great start, and everything just got better from there. The food was delicious. We had the swordfish, crab-stuffed trout, large crab cake with carrots and sweet potatoes as sides. We shared a soufflé for dessert--it was large enough for the four of us. All the portions were generous--two of us ate our fill and left with enough for dinner the next day. I've been to Ada's many times and my guests, none of whom had been before, now have it on their list of Old Town favorites.More infoAda's on the RiverPrice: Moderate• American• Old Town Alexandria•4.7
- CCeirstiVirginia •2 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoIl Porto was a wonderful Italian place for dinner. The restaurant was classic and brought a romantic setting. The service was slightly slow but our server was wonderfully attentive and even brought extra bread for us to take home. The window seats while adorable, and I loved people watching, were very cold. Overall my wife and I would highly recommend.More infoIl PortoPrice: Moderate• Italian• Alexandria•4.4
- TTeresaVIPWashington, D.C. Area •13 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWe celebrated my Birthday there. The owner sat us and explained some cocktails and dishes. Our server acknowledged my Birthday. Was nice and patient. Received our cocktails. The gin cocktail and pistachio martini could have been less sweet but were pleasant. The Appetizers were wonderful and our entrees delicious. Will highly recommend the restaurant and will visit again.More infoElaine'sPrice: Expensive• Mediterranean• Old Town Alexandria•4.6
- MMaureenVIPLos Angeles •41 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoOur favorite Old Town restaurant we visit at least once if not twice when we visit from SoCal. Many romantic dinners there in the mid 90s and returning to it almost 30 years later, it did not disappoint. We have turned family and friends into Warehouse lovers! Highly recommend the crab cakes but everything we’ve ever eaten there from salad to etouffee to steak to oysters to fish is excellent and will be cooked to your liking.More infoThe WarehousePrice: Moderate• American• Alexandria•4.8

For some reason it is so hard to find a good meal in Alexandria and we finally found a great restaurant!
