Best Fine Dining Restaurants in South Kingstown

Terrific, historic restaurant located in Newport RI that offers a rich American history. Great staff and delicious food it is a “special occasions” rather than an everyday eatery due to the high wine and food costs. A fairly limited menu that specializes in the offerings they provide it would not be suitable for children or young adolescents. Definitely an experience all should try even if only once.

I took my boyfriend here for his 26th birthday dinner, with no regrets. Both of us deeply enjoyed the attentive service by Nick and the rest of the servers. Our food was delicious, inventive, seasonal, and fresh. A word of recommendation- definitely go for the halibut over the duck. Both were great, but the halibut was absolutely divine. We made the mistake of eating all of our bread before the tortellini arrived at our table. They graciously gave us another loaf to enjoy the full dish experience. (If at all possible, my boyfriend would greatly appreciate any help in recreating that sourdough.) Overall, a fabulous dining experience in a beautiful setting that has given us a memory we will cherish for the rest of our lives.

The ambiance, lighting, and food were all very enjoyable. However, I was disappointed that our reservation, made over a week in advance and specifically requesting a table by the window, was not honored, and there was no explanation provided. After being seated, I approached the host to inquire about our request made through OpenTable. She informed me that the window tables were reserved for larger parties.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner, the choices were good, and the food was delicious. The couple of small things we asked to not be on the plates weren't and the service was wonderful. The restaurant was decorated for Christmas and from the outside to everything inside it was just beautiful A very enjoyable Thanksgiving dinner.
