We were surprised when the server asked us how we wanted our grilled salmon done

This was a girls night out, and it was fantastic! If you enjoy superior customer service, and excellent food, this is the place for you. I was greeted warmly at the door, they took my coat, and put my packages at my table. Had a drink at the bar with my friends before dinner. Had fun joking around with the bartender. The drinks were as beautiful as they were delicious. Highly recommend the Lex Cup. Matt, our server, as well as the others who helped along the way, were attentive, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to be around. Our dinner was delicious. We had the Sweet Onion Boullion (get it: the presentation is beautiful and the cheese, crostini, and broth are excellent), filet mignon, sea scallops, whipped potatoes, truffle Gouda gnocchi, and asparagus. All of it was top-notch. Prepared perfectly. We can’t wait to go back in the summer and visit the rooftop patio. The old school steakhouse is alive and well at the Lexington.

We made plans to visit Axel's last Friday. From the time we arrived we were met with friendly and welcoming staff. The hostess who greeted us with a smile and guided us to our table (and offered coat check service, nice touch) to the personable server who's knowledge of the menu made it easy to choose from many of the enticing dinning choices. We also ordered some bar services as well and the beverages were well mixed smooth and flavorful.

If you’re a steak lover, this is the place to be. From the moment you step inside, the warm ambiance and attentive staff set the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. The menu boasts an impressive selection of perfectly aged steaks, each cooked to absolute perfection. I ordered the long rib, and it was hands-down one of the best steaks I’ve ever had—juicy, flavorful, and tender with just the right amount of smoke and molasses. The sides were equally fantastic; the brussels sprouts, butcher baked beans, and potato cakes paired beautifully with the meal. Don’t even get me started on the dessert—their long tart was the perfect sweet finale. What sets this steakhouse apart is the attention to detail. From the quality of the ingredients to the knowledgeable staff who guided us through wine pairings, every element felt thoughtfully curated. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just treating yourself to a great meal with friends, this steakhouse is worth every penny. Highly recommend!
