Best Fine Dining Restaurants in Burgdorf

NikkeiNine is an upmarket Japanese restaurant attached to the Four Seasons Hotel. It serves top quality Japanese-inspired dishes. The service is attentive but, perhaps due to the holiday season, the restaurant seemed understaffed. The decor is opulent, perhaps a bit over the top. Prices are high bordering on the outrageous, but the clientele is unlikely to mind whether the Wagyu comes at 159€ per 100g (today’s price) or at 200 or whatever. The list of Sake to choose from is reasonable but quite limited.

On arrival at the restaurant, we were greeted warmly and shown straight to our table, a somewhat larger than expected table for just my husband and I. The waiter service was extremely professional and each dish was expertly explained to us prior to our 7 course dining experience. The one and only drawback to the evening was the location of our table which gave us full access to one of the chain-smoking guests who would appear to have smoked more than he ate. We could smell his clothing very strongly on his return to the restaurant from outside after each of his many quick cigarette breaks. A tad odious but nevertheless we much enjoyed our culinary experience.
