Best Fine Dining Restaurants in Palatine

It was a lovely evening with my Husband and adult goddaughter. We picked a good restaurant to celebrate Christmas. We were seated immediately with a reservation at 5:00. Having the smaller menu for the Christmas Holiday was a very good idea. You still had many choices and we never felt rushed. We enjoyed a leisurely dinner, with a cocktail to start and a delicious dessert. It was a good choice and never felt like we were being rushed. Glad we chose Palm Court Restaurant for our Christmas Dinner.

Dinner out on Christmas was wonderful. Everything from the menu, atmosphere and a shout out to our waiter, Igor! Wonderful night.

The service and food and drink is always excellent! We love this place and always go there on Xmas Eve. They do a masterful job seating a packed house. This year we were put in the back room where the ambiance is a little less cheerful as the rest of the restaurant. But we will be back!

The food was delicious. The service was friendly and attentive. The Christmas decor was festive. We had a great meal on Christmas Eve. We each had a sale to start with; my husband had the table side Caesar and I had a house salad. Both were fresh and delicious. For our mai meals, my husband had the cedar plank salmon. It was cooked exactly as he asked and the flavors were great. I had the miso glazed sea bass with black rice. The blend of flavors was tasty and delicious. For dessert, the Sticky toffee pudding is a must and it did not disappoint. Our server was Kevin. He was knowledgeable of the menu and very pleasant and attentive. We have dined at Region before and it was extremely special to be recognized by servers that have waited on us in the past. For a great meal with attentive service and comfortable surroundings, Region is a must.

The service and atmosphere were excellent. Food was also great. My wife had the salmon with vegetables - excellent. I had the filet and shrimp and my son had the filet and crab cake. The shrimp and crab cake were excellent but we were both server 2 filet medallions with our meal not a 6 oz. filet. The medallions were cook ok, but not as tender as I would expect from a high end steakhouse. Overall great dining experience, but not a good steak experience.
