Best Family Style Restaurants in Preston Hollow

I’ve never had a bad dining experience here. Top to bottom perfection. This cuisine defies categorization, for any purists expecting otherwise. The bao, ravioli, Wagyu, and sea bass are ordered every time we go. Family style is a must. Have hopped around on the salad menu and it’s all been sumptuous. Crab and grapefruit is a personal favorite. Dessert may be a less of a strong suit, but by the time we get through everything else, it hardly matters. The casual non-sceney vibe is the real icing on the cake.

Beautiful Magliano’s location. Terrific service and delicious food/cocktails. Ordered the seafood pasta/Linguini Di Mare and it was cooked to perfection. Also truly enjoyed the stuffed mushroom as an appetizer. Bread with olive oil & balsamic vinegar was yummy. One of the best Pomegranate martinis I’ve had a in a long time (perfectly balanced).

Went Xmas eve. They graciously accommodated a last minute add on to our party. It’s nice and dark but you can see- very good old- person lighting. They offer excellent food and drinks. We ordered family style. Lemon pasta, carrots, and meatballs were the best. Salmon was cooked perfectly, a simple dish. We got prompt and attentive but not overbearing service-top notch. The bartenders were incredibly efficient while we waited for our table- considering how busy they were. That all said, something about it was lacking in a special experience. Perhaps I’d try on a quieter evening when I’m better rested with a well-charged social battery.

Last night, my wife and I had a marvelous opportunity to celebrate the Holiday Season at Bistro 31. According to Michael, the Metra D, the Bistro has been open for 13 years. He remembers our joining him for this occasion for each of those years. The food, service, and ambiance were excellent. It only gets better each year. Christmas time isn't the only time we break bread with them. We enjoy lunch or dinner there several times during the year. We enjoy introducing friends and relatives to each of the Lombardi Family restaurants. Last evening, we took our daughter, Neenah, and her friend, Bob, for the first time.
