Best Family Style Restaurants in Chevy Chase

A fun neighborhood restaurant with some really good and unique dishes (harissa carrot sliders, Brussels sprouts, burger, chicken picatta meatballs !!), really good cocktails and an interesting wine offering. The ambiance is modest and not all the dishes are hits (charred leeks were a disappointment), but this place hits far above its weight and the people are lovely.

Salmon nachos were too salty. Nacho/wontons didn’t hold the toppings well. Very mediocre.

It had been many years since I enjoyed this DC mainstay, and on my recent visit, they did not disappoint. The food and service were top-notch. Our server was amazing and let my family members/me enjoy a reunuion after 5 years of not seeing one another. Class all the way! Five stars for Lebanese Taverna!

We came to Maggiano’s for my birthday. The wine, food, dessert was so good. Great service. Duane the Server did an outstanding job. We arrived as soon as they opened and was seated immediately. I will definitely be back. Beautiful restaurant.

We split a sample plate. It was over-the-top spectacular! It had something like 10 Virgen dishes and for meat dishes. Each one of them was unique, perfectly seasoned, flavorful, and highlighting the individual ingredients. It was served with the Ethiopian flatbread sourdough, which was also perfectly Prepared, light and spongy. There are Ethiopian pieces of artwork which were beautiful to look at. There was only one waitress for the whole restaurant, but she kept up amazingly well! We enjoyed the entire experience.
