Welcome to The Rose InnThe Rose Inn is located in the beautiful rural area of North Warwickshire in the village of Baxterley with stunning views over Leicestershire, Birmingham and on into the far distance. The Rose sits opposite the site of the old Baddesley colliery, behind the village green and duck pond with an orchard and large relaxing area overlooking the pond. Originally believed to be a 'Gentleman's residence', the building dates back to the 18th century and has served as a courthouse, jail, mortuary and for more than a hundred years as a public house.

First visit & won’t be my last. First time my son has come with us to a decent restaurant, 11 years old he had mussels, sirloin and a chocolate fondant. Loved everything he ate. Comte gougere- phenomenal!! Snacks through to dessert all cooked & presented well, can tell they use quality ingredients and have a kitchen team that can cook. Servers all polite and friendly. As a chef it’s hard to go out to eat and enjoy it however the Duncombe arms delivered great food, friendly unintrusive service at good value (£75 each snacks, 3 courses with service charge and tip too)

Well what a lovely hidden gem. We have been to this country pub several times and it never disappoints. Outside there is a lovely pond with ducks and seating with tables brilliant for a summer evening drink, today however we sat inside and ordered from the festive menu, both of our meals were really good, I had the slow cooked beek, absolutly delicious one of the best piecies of beef I have had the sauce the whole plate of food was wonderful. All of the staff were really nice and friendly lovely to have a chat and feel so welcolme. We were one of the first people there so not sure if the heating was still catching up it could have done with being a bit warmere in the room. Were already planning to take friends in the new year.

As usual the food was lovely and plentiful. One small personal issue is the chicken lacked some flavour and held oil and ribs could have been cooked for longer. My partners mixed grill was cooked as asked and fat removed from meats as requested. There was plenty there
