The Harwood Arms re-opened in September 2008 after some much needed refurbishment. This rural haven in the middle of Fulham is a collaboration between Brett Graham of the famed Ledbury restaurant, Mike Robinson of the acclaimed Pot Kiln pub in rural Berkshire and Edwin Vaux from the famous Vaux brewery. A really nice birthday lunch for a friend. Cajun chicken ciabatta, beautiful! Staff were lovely and not too pushy. All in all, love coming here for lunch. Big carpark too!

I love this place. Food good, mostly. But this time the dessert was not quite as hoped with a great deal of ersatz chocolate sauce on profiteroles that were supposed to be caramel, which was disappointing, but the burger and fish finger sandwich were excellent. The service was slow because of a very loud large group next to us who took priority. But we weren’t in a rush luckily. I’m looking forward to the lobster roll being back on as indicated on the website menu, but I always seem to go when it’s not ‘in season’ I am told.
