- DDavidLondon •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoLovely London night out in a great traditional venue. Your coat is taken as soon as you arrive and you are handed a numbered token, then the Maitre d (the owner) welcomes you at the entry desk letting you know when your table is ready. You are then taken through into one of several lovely old fashioned but well maintained rooms and seated at your table. You are presented with the menu which is all classic French fare - bisque, crab mayonnaise, pate etc, with mains including halibut, duck confit, cassoulet, lobster and more. The wine list is not extensive, but affordable with red wines from memory priced at between the late £20’s up to £300, so not too bad for a central london location. Desserts are also lovely pear and apple tart, tarte de citron and so on. All relatively simple dishes but cooked perfectly from my experience and that of my fellow guests. A lovely, classic London night out. We will be back.More infoL'EscargotPrice: Expensive• French• Soho•4.7
- GGrahamOxford/Oxfordshire •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoFirst time at The Lore of the Land. Blown away by the quality of food, wine and service. We had a group of 7 friends dining for lunch, had an enjoyable pre lunch drink in the bar, and then an amazing 3.5 hours of incredible lunch experience. Particular call out for our waitress, Cher, who served us for the entire 3.5 hours. Great knowledge of the dishes, good sense of humour, and really made the experience top drawer for us. Definitely going again soon.More infoThe Lore of the LandPrice: Very Expensive• Gastro Pub• Fitzrovia•4.7

I was pleasantly surprised to hear that it is a nut free kitchen which is so rare. I would recommend the pork tacos, guacamole and duck on crispy rice and lamb cutlets / skewersMore infoLos Mochis London CityPrice: Very Expensive• Pacific Rim• Liverpool Street•4.3

They understood the food menu and drink menus, provenance and were extremely enthusiastic about both. Thoroughly recommend.More infoDoppoPrice: Expensive• Italian• Soho•4.8
