Just a stones throw from the iconic Groombridge Place and only a 10 minute drive from Tunbridge wells Our is also available for hire and we have an amazing private space perfect for celebrations. There are plenty of activities on our doorstep with wonderful walks and the picturesque Forest Way trail close. Groombridge also benefits from having Harrisons Rocks for keen climbers and the perfect cycling routes across the Ashdown Forest. If this all sounds too energetic then just relax and chill watching the cricket from our front terrace, perfect for a lazy weekend afternoon.

Welcome to The Warren Restaurant, an extension of The Crowborough Estate, holding stock of Sussex Cattle, Boer Goats, Fallow deer, and Wild boar amongst others which the restaurant draws on for its menu. We are a Dog Friendly restaurant. Given the provenance, the kitchen predominantly cooks British food, occasionally dipping into other cuisines to provide a vehicle for flavours – nettle gnocchi for example, or poached oyster with wild boar chorizo.WE wanted a unique fun and informal restaurant, to offer their Crowborough Estate’s produce from.     Made very welcome. Very busy lunchtime, but service excellent. Comfortable and lovely ambience. Food is great and portions good. Not rushed, though we were the last to leave! Would happily recommend it, but do book to avoid disappointment.

    Recently went to the Hare & Billet for a lovely roast, was excited to see they offer a vegan wellington roast as an option online. However was disappointed upon learning that it’s no longer an option and had been taken off the menu when we were getting our orders taken. Luckily we had a fantastic server, Nathaniel who went above and beyond to offer options so that I could still enjoy the roast that I’d be looking forward too with a few tweaks here and there. Ended up having a lovely meal regardless! Thank you, Nathaniel & chefs at the Hare & Billet!

    Another amazing meal at The Cat. It's really hard to describe just how perfect our evening was ... the food was so delicious - it just seems to get better and better, and the crab starter from the specials board was so good! The staff, as always, were amazing, perfect with timings and service and always so lovely to chat to. It was also pleasantly busy so the atmosphere was loveley but not noisy. Can't find fault in anything!

    beautiful colourful food, bursting with amazing flavours. Absolutely delicious. Service was wonderful too and some of the nicest wine i’ve had in a long time. Only complaint was being told that we only have the table for 1.5hrs, it’s not the best vibe as soon as you walk in and just would’ve though that 2hrs minimum was appropriate but I get that it was a busy friday night. Otherwise an impeccable dining experience, thanks so much.
