Best Date Night Restaurants in Wailuku

Wonderful experience!!! So glad to be back at Front Street and enjoying some delicious food from the fabulous chef from our favorite local restaurant Lahaina Grill. The restaurant faces the beautiful Lahaina beach and is super nice and contemporary. The service is great, with everyone working super well together, from the hostess to the waitress, making it a smooth and enjoyable experience. The food is the star! We ate the special fish and it was superb, to the point that we had to order a side of bread to make sure we were cleaning up the delicious sauce. For appetizers, we were surprised with how good the poke was. For desert we had the coconut banana pie and it was delicious! Not too sweet and super creamy. We are so happy with our experience and already thinking on coming back soon! Definitely Lahaina is coming back even stronger!!!!

Highly recommend. Our best meal by far during our 11-day stay on the island. Request waiter Nick (with glasses). Nick is one of the best servers we have experienced in all of our years of travel. He was in control from the time he first approached our table. He was kind. He was confident. He was very knowledgeable about all of our dining options. He made what would be a very good dining experience, a great one. The sashimi tuna was the best we’ve ever had. The ulu mash, spectacular. Filets were on point. Overall, we could not recommend Ulu’s enough. The Hawaiian cake dessert was the finishing touch.

Last night, I celebrated my birthday dinner at Humuhumunukunukuāpuaʻa, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect—the food, the service, and the breathtaking scenery. I ordered the salmon, which was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. Every bite was a testament to the chef’s expertise. The staff were attentive and friendly, ensuring we felt welcomed and well cared for throughout the evening. The highlight, however, was the setting. Watching the sun set while sipping on pre-dinner cocktails was absolutely magical. The colors reflecting off the water created a serene and romantic atmosphere that perfectly complemented the dining experience. This was easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. I highly recommend Humuhumunukunukuāpuaʻa for anyone looking for a memorable night out. Whether it’s a special occasion or just a desire for amazing food and views, this place delivers on all fronts!

More than we expected. Food is excellent like a fine dining. Don’t let the location of the restaurant be a factor. Got to go to the restaurant. Great food!
