Best Date Night Restaurants in Merrillville, IN

We had a great dinner at Girl and the Goat! We had the chickpea fritters and the pomegranate was a great touch of flavor. We also loved the sea bass, and will come back for it! Other favorites included the peanut butter mousse and chocolate dessert. Shout out to nick (I think) in the kitchen who gifted us mini beans (green beans) and the miso maple budino (if you like pralines you’ll love this), both were phenomenal.

Excellent across the board. My colleague was 30 mins late for the reservation and I was seated and they were patient. I will be going back to the Oakville!

Ashley was our bartender/Server and she was amazing. All the food and drinks were outstanding. My favorite part of the evening was the Mac and Cheese and the Butter Cake Dessert. 10/10 would recommend for a great romantic date night or even just celebrating with your family. Will come back again and again.

Our waitress admitted she was new, so she was still learning! I appreciated her admitting the fact and asking for assistance from Dave (possibly the manager) and other servers. This was my second brunch in two weeks and I can’t wait for my next one with friends! Don’t forget the mimosa kit and the pretzel board. I will continue to make Cullinary Misfits my “go-to” for brunch.

Food and service was good. Pork chop special was excellent compaired to the regular meals prices. Portions were a good size. Will definitely try something else again
