Best Date Night Restaurants in Matawan

Food and service were great. Was so noisy that we could not hear each other talk at the table. Spent lunch saying”what?” And “huh?” And leaning into the middle of the table to talk to one another. Really took away from the experience for sure.

I came in with my fiancé for dinner, everything was fantastic. Everything from the food to the service was excellent. I would definitely suggest the bolognese and shrimp Oreganata. We will definitely be back.

Great octopus and calamari apps. Bread & olive oil was also delicious. Four of us had surf & turf, skirt steak, Branzino and vodka pizza entrees. Service was superb and the servers were attentive & friendly. Desserts & coffee... amazing!! The staff sang Happy Birthday for our friend. :) BYOB is a plus! We'll be back.

I was really impressed! First of all, the bartender, Anthony, was outstanding. The drinks were delicious and my friend and I were asking for “custom” items and he never made a face or complained or acted inconvenienced. The drinks he made were spectacular. Second, the food was really good. We had the tuna tartar tacos which were amazing. They were a o light and the fish was super fresh. Then we had a pepperoni pizza and the eggplant chips with whipped ricotta. The ricotta was next level. So creamy and seasoned perfectly. The eggplant chips were something different and so good! The pepperoni pizza was cooked just right so the crust was chewy on the inside and crispy on the outside and it wasn’t too topping heavy. All in all, we had a great night out and enjoyed delicious food. We will be going back!
