Best Date Night Restaurants in Loretto

Disappointing that no horseradish sauce available for beef dishes. Salads were excellent. Glad to see expanded dessert menu expanded.

We have frequented several Hazelwood restaurants around the Twin Cities and all uphold high standards we have for one of our favorite spots. This visit was no different. We brought long-time friends with us and it was their first time--of course they loved everything as well. The Walleye is fresh and delicious and they all opted for gouda hashbrowns instead of the rice. The roasted chicken was tender and flavorful. As someone who has a dairy allergy, I put my trust in the servers to protect my wellbeing. Our server here took great care of me and even suggested switching out the mashed potatoes for their amazing brussel sprouts! If only I could make their brussel sprouts at home!-- So good! 😋 We had a wonderful meal, drinks, and visit thanks to the great folks at the Bloomington Hazelwood.

Still one of the most reliable outstanding restaurants in the Twin Cities area. Consistently good over the decades - a real unsung gem!

Our server was Mandy. She was AMAZING!! She made sure we had an excellent time, and gave amazing service! We do not remember seeing it posted in the menu that the tip would be included on the bill. If it was there, it should be more visible, as to not be a surprise when the bill comes. That is not good business, nor good for your staff. Mandi’s tip would have been at least 25% (because she was so wonderful!) had it not been 18% on our bill. You really did her a disservice. The FLAT plates are beautiful, yet NOT something that food with any juice/liquid should be placed upon! When our meals were served, steak juice went all over me as the food runner placed the plate upon our table. Mandy was extremely apologetic and offered everything she could/within her power to make it right. It was ok, because she was NOT at fault… the owners were… poor decision to use flat plates!!!! The manager offered dry cleaning, but our flight home was the next day, so no dry cleaning could be done here. We were served free dessert. All-in-all, we had a wonderful time!! ALL of the staff was very friendly, and welcoming. We travel here often for both business and pleasure, and will be back! Our dinner guest was with Hilton management, and she was so impressed, that she will be bringing her clients to this location, as often as she can. We will most definitely ask for Mandy!

My family and I had a wonderful time. We had 4:30 dinner reservations January 1st. My wife and I were greeted in a very friendly, and professional manner. We had a wait of only a minute or two before we were taken to our table. After another minute or two we were graciously approached and greeted by our server Rebecca P. She was very friendly and personable, and made us feel welcome. A few minutes later the second half of our party arrived. That included my step daughter and her two daughter (ages 2 years and 7 weeks) Rebecca, greeted them all with paying special attention to my two granddaughters. Once we settled in Rebecca asked if we would enjoy something to drink. We placed our order and then a few minutes later returned with our order. She then proceeded to tell us the specials of the evening and answered all our questions. After giving us a reasonable amount of time she returned to our and took our orders. She asked each of us questions and made us feel welcome, and payed great attention to the two young girls, building a great connection to us all and gave us a wonderful feeling of hospitality. Our dinners arrived, and they were all done to perfection. During our meals Rebecca and several other employees would stop by and ask how things were and if everything was okay. They'd also continue to pay awesome attention to our young granddaughters. Everyone made sure that we were enjoying ourselves and made us feel special. It was truly a wonderful experience for all of us and we were thrilled that we dined at Baldamar. This was our third time at this establishment, and each has been terrific, but this one topped em all. Thank you. On a special note, if this is typical service from Rebecca and the other people who worked on that night, I strongly urge that they receive pay increases. They deserve the best praises. Randy Reed
