Best Date Night Restaurants in Lafayette / West Lafayette

As always, Prime 47 didn't disappoint! From the moment we walked in until we left, everything was perfect! We felt very welcome and catered to. It's hard to find a restaurant that's so accommodating. Valentines Day is a very busy day for all restaurants. Prime 47 handled it well. This was our 4th time here. Can't wait to go back! It's expensive, but so worth it! The food is excellent and the service top notch.

It had been over half a decade since we’d been to Traders Point, but after seeing their Valentine’s Day menu, we decided it was worth making a Valentine’s Day mini weekend of it. The Harpist music was subtle enough for background, but loud enough to enjoy. Once we realized she was playing pop music songs, we enjoyed guessing them. We ordered the Valentine’s Day Flight half because my wife wanted to see how they were garnished. She really like the bold orange elder flower mimosa and lemon lavender French 75. Will try and recreate at home, you can se me the garnishes in pictures. Orange peel opened up like a rose bud in the Negroni. I had their Honey Bunch (take on a manhattan), pecans work well with Bourbon and honey, who knew? Pecan crumble garnish made it festive and change the taste. And then a Feisty Cabernet Sauvignon to go with dinner. We added a cheese and meat charcuterie board to accompany the meal. Favorite was a goat cheese from California that had Moon in the name of the creamery, we are calling to see if we can be reminded of the creamery. Their own award winning cheese was very good as well. We happily finished everything in the board. We both really like my wife’s crab stuffed shrimp starter. I had meatballs that were a little undercooked in the middle for wife’s preference, but I was quite happy. We are on opposite ends of the cooking temperature spectrum. We were both really happy with our mains. Porkchop with spiced seeet potato swisschard for her and filet with added blue cheese whipped potato brussel sprouts for me. Don’t sleep on the Ice Cream Sundae. It’s a creamery. With house made toffee crumble. Best sundae ever. She liked her cherry chocalate cheesecake, but brought most of it home. And of course on the way out, bought 2 bottles of chocolate milk to take home to the kids. If you are from out of town, always bring a cooler to Traders Point.

per usual, had the best experience! i love the fried ravioli, so delicious! i could go on for daysss how much i LOVE the bread. it's the best italian bread i've ever had in the states (been to italia twice). and the bolognese is my favorite meal & ALWAYS comes out piping hot. and i was so happy to have cassie as our server, she is one of my absolute favorites at italian house! she knows the menu well, is always so kind & friendly, and i just love going back to places that remember me! overall the perfect experience yet again! italian house is my favorite restaurant in indiana.

We enjoyed a great meal with excellent service. The oysters were so fresh and delicious; sea bass was outstanding, best in our region! And my husband enjoyed the steak. Each entry was complimented with tasty, chef inspired and prepared accompaniments such as squash and polenta. Absolutely delicious. We will be back.

Very upscale food, atmosphere, and service. They pay a lot of attention to details to their food and plate design. They include little flowers on every item or some kind of pretty garnish and the taste matched the artistry. I only did not give five stars for the flavors because the enchilada tortillas are a bit thick, and therefore the enchilada sweets were very dry despite having some sauce. The inside of the tortilla was just pulled chicken with no sauce and the outside the sauce had fallen off the top of the enchiladas, and therefore they were just super dry. Perhaps some sauce inside the enchilada would’ve helped or some thinner shells and for atmosphere I only marked one star down because they use some kind of strong cleaner in the bathroom which emanates a smell in certain areas of the restaurant. Otherwise excellent I would definitely go back here again.
