Brunch on Saturday and Sunday is primarily first come, first served. If you do not see the time you want available online, please call us directly. When owner Johnny Carrabba set out on his next restaurant venture, he knew his vision would include the fond memories he had of his dear grandmother Grace Mandola. Grace, also known to the family as Mama, was a Sicilian woman born to immigrant parents in Louisiana. She had a flair for cooking, hospitality, and deep faith. She was known to make bread from scratch every Saturday for her legendary three-hour Sicilian Sunday lunches; and, her newly established family roots in Louisiana added interesting flavors to her home cooked meals. The entire Mandola family, including her five children and fourteen grandchildren, was regularly greeted in her home with smells of warm bread, well brewed sauces and homemade soups. It was around her table that her family learned the true meaning and value of relationships, friendships and good food.

Absolute standout for Italian food in Houston. Italian American with great service and a modern touch. Could easily be compete with New York Italian. Wine list very well priced and well curated. Highlights were the sweetbreads, tuna N’duja, chicken parm, and dry aged steak either crispy potatoes. But honestly every dish was an absolute hit. Not one lackluster plate.

It's been a few years since we've been to Roost, it used to be with our family, it would be hit or miss to get in. Now with reservations as an option know we can get a table. I'm so glad we decided to go here! The service was top-notch. The food was delicious, better than I remembered. Everything was cooked perfectly. The flavors are interesting yet still feel like Grandma would make. With 30% off of wine on Monday and Tuesday it's a great deal, especially since wines are reasonable to begin with. Shout out to our server Abby for a great wine recommendation and also a general excellent demeanor. We'll be back for sure!

This place was overall a great place to dine in at. This is a great spot to enjoy good food, excellent drinks and nice ambience. As an individual who is not a huge wine drinker, the server was amazing at talking about the different wines and help pick an excellent wine! Will definitely return on my next trip to Houston.
