Serving contemporary French food, this much-loved independent restaurant has been going strong for over 22 years. Before booking, please note the restaurant has both downstairs and upstairs. The same menu options are available on both floors. There is no lift upstairs. Re Tasting Menu Timings: At lunch you must book before 1.45pm, and at dinner before 8.45pm. Tasting menus are not available outside of these times.If you cannot find a table, please contact the restaurant team direct as not all tables are available to book online.     We came to the Black Swan having passed it by, many times whilst travelling to a favourite dog walking area. We kept saying we must go there for a meal some time. Well today we did, and will definitely be returning. The service was excellent as was the meal, we had a Valentine Special, haunch of venison.

It was a special occasion—my wife’s birthday—and the team made it even more memorable with their impeccable service and attention to detail.
