Best Cozy Restaurants in Pebble Beach

We dine here often. Every time we’re in Carmel from SF. A must for us. Today we also had lunch outside. Always a pleasure. I must say the wait staff could be quicker once seated. Bringing water and a menu for lunch. Love PortaBella.

This is the second time I have visited this establishment. Food, service and ambiance was great! Excellent mushroom raviolis, artichoke and beet salad was wonderful!

Every time we walk through their doors, we are met with warmth, kindness, and a level of hospitality that is simply unmatched. From the servers to the management, and even the owners, everyone at Mission Bistro goes above and beyond to create an experience that lingers long after the last bite. They greet us like old friends, anticipate our needs, and make every visit special. It’s rare to find a place where you feel this seen and appreciated. On our most recent visit, something truly heartwarming happened—someone paid for our meal. It was an unexpected and beautiful moment, one that only added to the magic that Mission Bistro creates. It’s a place that attracts good people, fosters kindness, and reminds us of the joy that comes from sharing a meal with those we love. We can’t say enough good things about this place. It’s not just a restaurant to us—it’s a little pocket of joy in our lives. We are so grateful for the food, the atmosphere, and most of all, the people who make it so special. We loved everything we ate- 3 appetizers and our entrees- wagyu beef and the pork chop. Our cocktails were wonderful, as well as the service. After dinner we enjoyed a few minutes on the front patio relaxing around the roaring fire of one of 4 fire pits. It was a perfect dinner out!

The food was excellent, homemade fresh pasta and delicious sauces. Would definitely return for the food; however, the noise level was horrible. It’s a small, quaint place with only a few tables inside and we were seated next to a large party (which took up 85% of the dining room) who were loud, rude, and drunk. The food was lovely but our table couldn’t even hear eachother or the waitress. If you go, request to sit outside or your ears will be ringing by the end of your meal!
