Best Cozy Restaurants in Northwest Philly

We enjoyed lunch in the bar at table near window away from crowd and noise. Food and service were excellent. Cozy atmosphere. We will definitely return for lunch in the future.

Great 1st visit! Friday lunch. All 3 of us enjoyed our meals. Tasty. Good size (not "big", but appropriate/ nice portion). Front and back of house staff were concerned and actively took proper steps to address a food allergy. We ordered the cheeseburger (x2) and Gem lettuce w/ chicken. Both were fantastic... flavor, presentation, preparation was as promised/ expected. Staff was attentive but not lurking. I look forward to returning.

We have dined twice recently at Aleksandar, and both times everything was exquisite. The staff are welcoming and well informed. The dishes are thoughtfully conceived, beautifully presented, and scrumptious. The ambiance is warm and inviting. Highly recommended.!

As always, Chef Rucker knows how to bring it! The food, service, ambience, music and vibe were all on point. The swordfish belly app, lobster toast, hash browns, crab claws, blue fun tuna, cabbage, scallops, swordfish Milanese, sea bass, ham and squid ink biscuits and chicken were unreal. This is our third visit, and the consistency and quality were outstanding. We’ve probably had every menu item and have been enjoying the changing drinks menu as well. The matcha cocktail is a favorite, can drink it like water! The new mezcal Negroni was delish!!! You have to get the desserts. I crave them constantly now. The granola cremeaux is in my dreams.

Barclay Prime Review My wife and I celebrated her birthday at Barclay Prime, and it was a fantastic experience! The ambiance was elegant, with a lively atmosphere that leaned a bit noisy—not the restaurant’s fault, just the energy of the night. The food was absolutely wonderful, and you truly get what you pay for in terms of quality and presentation. I highly recommend dining here for a special occasion or a treat-yourself moment. Using OpenTable to make our reservations added convenience and ensured everything went smoothly. Barclay Prime definitely made the night memorable for us, and we can’t wait to visit again!
