My husband and I visited Clos Maggiore yesterday for a late celebration of our 22nd anniversary, and it was nothing short of perfection! This was our second time dining at this gem of a restaurant, and once again, it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was enchanting. The intimate, romantic setting, especially under the stunning conservatory with twinkling lights, made the evening feel so special. The service was impeccable—attentive, warm, and professional without ever being intrusive. And the food? Absolutely divine. Every dish was a work of art, from presentation to taste. A warm space that took my girl friend back to her time travelling Japan, the food was just as she remembered it and she was blown away. So was I, the food was tasty, the range of flavours were phenomenal and I’m very impressed.

Nice central venue. Good atmosphere and fairly busy. Service was good and good as expected at Slug and lettuce. Good for an enjoyable lunch near tourist centres.
