Best Cozy Restaurants in Hawaii

Menu changed from a few years ago but the food is still fantastic One of our favorites restaurants in waikiki Great service and incredible food Allergy acomodating

The food quality was on a much higher level than traditional Hawaiian style restaurants. My son and I had their locomoco and it was really good. It was more elevated than other places. Their garlic shrimp was also delicious. .

Been coming to hideout for 3 years now every time my wife and I visit Oahu and it never disappoints. The Hamajang Board is a must order. The pork belly Brussels are definitely my favorite and my wife ranks the ahi sashimi with some of the best she’s had. Vibe is always on point as well. Theres plenty of great food around Waikiki but many places in the area are lacking in this department so it definitely sets the hideout apart. Every live music act or DJ I’ve seen there have been great. We’ll keep coming back.

I’m admittedly, somewhat of a steak snob and I’m very hard to please. The steak at Stripsteak however was wonderful - perfectly seasoned and cooked, and the beef quality was incredible. The A5 wagyu was a little rich for me personally, but the Washugyu Ribeye was perfection. We also loved the ahi crudo roll appetizers- a must get. The hamachi and ahi tacos were also pretty good. Service was very good and professional. However, one comment I would make is that I ordered an expensive glass of Opus One to accompany dinner and they should have brought the bottle to the table and poured it in front of me. However, that was not rhetorical case. For high-end wine and alcohol, it should be presented in the bottle. 

Always make a point to visit Zigu when in town. The food is ALWAYS fantastic and the service great! Highly recommend and plan to return again soon!
