- LLalainiaEdinburgh/Midlothian •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoWent on a freezing cold January lunchtime. The restaurant was lovely and warm so was the atmosphere and the staff were friendly and welcoming, The food was incredible everything was homemade and perfectly cooked. We had both pies, Steak & haggis and the Chicken and mushroom and both were delicious. The desserts were just as delicious and all homemade. The staff were lovely, friendly and professional throughout and the toilets were immaculate. I can’t wait for my next visit. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️More infoBadger & CoPrice: Moderate• Scottish• Edinburgh•4.7

- AALBERTOEdinburgh/Midlothian •1 review5.0Dined on Dec 24, 2024My partner and I visited The Black Grape on Christmas Eve and had the pleasure of trying their festive menu. It was an unforgettable experience! The attention was absolutely wonderful; the staff was incredibly kind and attentive at all times, creating a warm and welcoming holiday atmosphere. Coming from Spain, we were excited to try something new, and the festive menu exceeded all our expectations. Every dish was a delightful surprise, full of unique flavors that were completely different from what we're used to back home. Each bite was crafted with care and truly captured the spirit of the season. If you're looking for excellent food and top-notch service, especially during the holidays, The Black Grape is the place to go. Highly recommended!More infoThe Black GrapePrice: Expensive• Tapas / Small Plates• The Royal Mile•4.8
- CColinEdinburgh/Midlothian •4 reviews4.0Dined on Dec 7, 2024The food was excellent. Simple Italian done well. However there were significant issues with the service. Our mains were presented to us whilst still eating our starters. We weren’t at all slow so there was no apparent reason. We sent away the first server and then a couple of minutes later another appeared with the plates again! They did not appreciate that what they were doing was wrong. It was a busy Saturday and maybe the serving staff were not fully experienced, certainly their reaction, or lack of understanding, might suggest this. However, I suspect the real issue was in the kitchen as the waiting staff would just deliver whatever was brought to the pass. I don’t know but it really took the shine off a family meal that was celebrating my significant birthday.More infoRagù PastaPrice: Moderate• Italian• New Town•4.4
