Best Cozy Restaurants in Albany

Acre never disappoints. This was no exception. There was a delay in the kitchen and food was taking longer than usual to come out. We barely noticed because we were with old friends catching up. But the manager came out and apologized and brought us a free appetizer and comped another round of drinks, so we were all good!

Nice place for our group of six to sample several things. We had two paellas and and one order of tapas per person, and it was more than enough. An order of paella would have been more than enough for just two of us.

From before the meal through the end, our experience at new-to-us Creekwood was excellent. When we called to say we’d be late because of the weather and traffic, he was extremely gracious and accommodating. The meal was delicious, but an equal highlight was the service; our waiter cheerfully dealt with requests (lots) from our party of three, and our bus-person was lovely as well. We had a choice to sit outside or inside - I think either would have been lovely but we chose outside and sat around the fire table - between the fire table, heat lamp and cozy blankets, the temperature was perfect even on a somewhat chilly night and you could not beat the wonderful atmosphere. It was our first time here but will not be the last.

This was our first time at this restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent, as was the service. I would highly recommend this location.
