Best Comfort Food Restaurants in Steamboat Springs

The blend of flavors was outstanding on each dish we tried. Don’t forget an order of the Brussels on the side. Fantastic! Service excellent and so accommodating despite how busy they were.

The food. The vibe. Everything! From a perfectly curated wine list to snacks and bites that blew us away, we love the new Cypress downtown. It feels like the perfect blend of casual dining with the level of execution and service you come to expect when you’re dining out in this town. 10/10.

Obviously Paul was trying to create a whole different restaurant experience with Brass from what he accomplished at Cafe Diva for decades. Brass has a well lit, contemporary look and feel about it with a “happening” atmosphere…. it’s just ok to be a little loud with your crowd and even speak to your neighboring table. Drink menu is solid and drinks are served quickly ( no hunting someone down for your next ). Wide variety on the menu and our table started out with Tuna, Hummus ( big set up ) & Korean Short Rib . Our Entrees included elk, Bolognese and short ribs - all well portioned and good. Finished off a couple of bottles of wine ( of course Paul is going to have fabulous wine list ). Of note: expected prices to be 25% higher - Brass is a real treat and value.

Delicious Jamaican Jerk Chicken. The sauce was perfectly spicy and was offset by the Jamaican rice and plaintains. Perfectly cooked, moist and juice. Short rib mac was creamy and the mushrooms sauteed in something delicous. Appreciated the size of the mushrooms. Corn choder was soothing and a great starter soup! Service was amazing, lived the effort of our server wearing a Grinch shirt, very cool! All around incredible experience! Will be back!

Overall good experience. But prices were WAY TOO STEEP for what you get. Our server was great, though.
