Best Comfort Food Restaurants in KC Power & Light District

We are regulars at Brown and Loe and always have a good experience. The Loco Moco is especially a brunch treat!

We looked for a bottomless mimosa place in downtown KC and were referred to BLVD Tavern. Our server Jess was money! She kept our drinks filled, the food came out fast and was delicious and we left with a buzz. Highly recommend this place for Sunday brunch. Just a real cool place and the atmosphere was perfect! BLVD you guys rock and Jess all the best, you are the main reason for this 5 star review!

Sunday morning blunch with the hash bowl with added egg and sausage, coffee, toast and mimosa. The bowl was filled with veggies...brussell sprouts, asparagus, mushrooms, kale, and more then hollandaise sauce and my added egg and sausage. Large serving, delicious dish. Coffee hot, Mimosa cool, service excellent!!!

A Friend and I took advantage of their Restaurant Week special last night and it was the most amazing meal!! We started with the Pork Belly bites which were tender pork confit inside and a crispy coating outside! The chop chop salad had a wonderful crunch and the dressing was to die for! The two entries we shared were the Caveman Crispy chicken and the Cajun Shrimp Bucatini. This chicken was probably the BEST crispy chicken I have ever had!! The flavors were amazing and the CRUNCH!!! I will dream about this dish and definitely be back for more! The Shrimp Bucatini was decadent and delicious! The sauce was unique and the bucatini pasta added the perfect touch! Flourless chocolate torte and lemonchello cheesecake rounded out our fantastic meal. We also each enjoyed a delicious cocktail, but I've forgotten the names. (a Gin drink with jalapeño, and a tequila drink - both yummy!) All in all this was a truly wonderful experience and I will 100% be back!

I love BEGR downtown! But they said they don’t have a waitlist through OpenTable. They still gave us a table when I showed them, but you may want to verify this is legit :)
