Best Casual Restaurants in Roanoke

We've visited multiple times ad have always enjoyed the restaurant. We are warmly greeted as return customers and are fortunate to get a seat at the bar. Enjoy sitting there because it's like dinner and a show. This visit we tried the lobster toast and i was excellent. My wife and I shared the appetizer and it was just right for two without ruining dinner. Pork shanks were on the menu and we immediately knew that's what we wanted. Had it on a previous visit and thoroughly enjoyed them. This time was no different. Pork was tender, fell off the bone, and had a delightful taste. The peas and greens were very complimentary. Couldn't finish that so got a "to go" box and my wife made an excellent soup with the leftovers the next day. As usual, the service and drinks were excellent. Lucky's has a well-stocked bar and the bartenders are knowledgeable and professional. Looking around patrons were engaged in lively conversation and seemed to be enjoying themselves. We look forward to returning soon.

We had a phenomenal meal at table 50. Every dish was delicious. We had the mussels for an appetizer the tuna and the buttermilk chicken were our entrées. Cocktails were also good, I especially liked the pink martini. Our server was attentive and was always right there if we needed anything. Noise level was good. We had people on either side of us and all we didn’t have to yell to be heard, we also felt like we were able to have a private conversation. 

My forth time eating here. Three of us had the same entree, the saracha salmon. It was very good! Done just right, served over mashed potatoes which were a tiny bit cool but still ok. Our waitress was attentive and gave us space to visit and enjoy some wine.

Beautifully decorated inside, staff was extremely pleasant. My overall frustration was not knowing that when we booked reservations for six people in the lounge that we would not be giving an actual table to seat at to eat. Instead of couch and a couple chairs around a low coffee table. We enjoyed appetizers and cocktails, but unfortunately had to go across the street to another restaurant for a sitdown dinner. Will go back but with a new understanding.

Service was good and server very attentive. Had salad with chicken and is was a good size meal. Other meals brought out to sourounding tables looked like generous portions
