Best Casual Restaurants in Little Portugal / Dundas West

We did a tasting menu put together by the restaurant after we told them what we like and which dishes we were interested in. Wonderful service, and wow all the food was so good, we tried the tuna, fried squash, speck pizza, Brussels sprouts (those last two were our favourites!), the steak and the 100 layer lasagna was extra delicious!

Bar Clams is the casual seafood spot Toronto has been waiting for! Chef Matty and chef Coulson known for their delicious dishes at Prime Seafood, brings a refined yet relaxed approach to every dish. The menu is simple but elevated, showcasing the best of what’s fresh and from our country. Highlights include the perfectly seared scallops with bacon… a Mackeral BLT that strikes the perfect balance of crispy, tender, and wholesome. The atmosphere is laid-back, but the quality of the food is undeniably high-end. It’s the kind of place where you can casually drop in for a bite, knowing you’re getting some of the city’s best seafood at an approachable price. Toronto’s seafood scene just got a lot better.

Everyone was kind and very nice: they were from Valencia, Sevilla, Barcelona and Colombia—authentic Spanish food. The croquettes superb. Paella from Valencia was amazing and authentic Jamon Iberico from Huelva. I am leaving Toronto, but I would like to come back again. It is strongly recommended if you are looking for Spanish food. More light is suggested, and lower music, too, to improve the experience even more.

Delicious! Charming place! We only wish our server had shared that the Pork 'elephant ear' was as big as it was, and suggested that my wife and her niece could have split the entree, as opposed to each ordering the entree. We had far too much food. Other than that, all very nice.
