Best Casual Restaurants in Kawaihae

Wonderful meal in all ways. The restaurant is part of the Mauna Kea resort. The food was excellent. The restaurant is literally beachfront. And despite being part of an upscale resort, where you’d expect expensive prices, it was very reasonably priced.

Our drinks, Lava Flow and Pina Colada, were the best we had all week. The Chicken Parmesan meal and the Spaghetti and meatballs were excellent. Service was great also. Highly recommend!

As always, the food was excellent. The Pina Colada cake is the best! Faith does an outstanding job and is so friendly. Love that the Manager always comes around to our table also to check on our meals. Highly recommend!

Delicious food and really nice service. If you go, and leave room for dessert, try the brownie. It comes with mochi and a chocolate crisp and caramel sauce. Delicious and not overly sweet. Also the Kona coffee is wonderful.

Very busy but the manager Bonnie was all over everything. We were early and ended up grabbing dinner at the bar due to a flash rain shower. Jerry the bartender was fantastic and attentive and made exceptional cocktails. Nice happy hour from 5-7.
